Senior Electronics Engineer | Medical Devices

My client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative medical technologies that make a real difference in healthcare.

About the Role

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices, providing high-quality and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. Working from feasibility through to implementation, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop products that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead circuit-level hardware design, including architecture, component selection, schematic entry, and board bring-up.
  • Interface with hardware peripherals such as sensors and motor drivers.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical design, and system engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as UL, IEC, and FDA.
  • Conduct FMEA analysis to resolve product failures and enhance design integrity.
  • Develop and execute test procedures in line with IEC 60601 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in EMC testing, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and firmware development.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience designing and testing analog and digital circuitry.
  • Strong background in microprocessors, circuit simulation, and modular system design.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN in an embedded environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical drawing packages such as SolidWorks Electrical, Eplan, and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
