Based at the AgTechUCD Innovation Centre at UCD Lyons Farm, the Food and Agriculture Sustainable Technology Innovation Programme (FAST-IP) is designed to “increase innovation knowledge” in the food and agriculture sector and kick start creation of more high potential start-ups and jobs in the sector.
Gain the skills and knowledge needed to evaluate, select, and validate ideas for new products and services, ultimately fostering the creation of high-potential start-ups and SMEs. This programme is accredited by UCD at Level 9 on the National Qualification Framework
Dive deep into agricultural environments, including farms and food processing companies, for hands-on learning opportunities that bridge theory with real-world application. This is a 12-month in-person programme, aimed at mid-career professionals.
Get paid while you learn with our Funding Support program: receive a tax-free scholarship of €38,000 over 12 months. This enables you to fully dedicate yourself to your studies and entrepreneurial pursuits, free from financial worries.

Is this course full time?
Yes, this course is full time and you will be based at the AgTechUCD Innovaion Centre at UCD Lyons Farm. Further more you will spend 8-10 weeks immeresed in agriculture environments including farms and food processing companies throughtout the year long programme.
How long is the course?
This is a 12-month in-person programme starting this September.
What qualifications will I get?
Participants who complete the programme will be awarded a Level 9 Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Can I apply if I don't have a background or interest in Agri
Yes, this course is aimed at mid-career professionals across many different industries including Agri, IT, Engineering, Business.
Will I get paid while on this course?
Yes, FAST-IP participants will be provided with a tax free scholarship of €38,000 over the 12-month duration of the programme.
