Location: Offaly

Salary: €19.00 per hour

Are you an experienced and dedicated Social Care Worker or deputy manager seeking a rewarding career in a new childrens residential service? Join our passionate team in Co. Offaly providing comprehensive care for children and young persons in mainstream residential and aftercare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery.
  • Monitor and supervise children, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
  • Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
  • Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
  • Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum QQI level 7 degree in Social Care or related field.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Proven experience in mainstream social care.
  • Leadership experience.
