Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy (OT) services to individuals with intellectual disabilities across various settings, including residential, day services, and community-based programs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior occupational therapists, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Support and advise families, caregivers, and staff on interventions that promote the well-being and development of individuals in the ID setting.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development programs within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with CORU.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within an MDT.
- Full Driving Licence & access to own car
