Job Opportunity: Permanent Full time

Location: Kilkenny

Hours: 35 hrs per week

Are you a dedicated Healthcare professional with experience in auditing, HIQA, Quality and Compliance? This service provides residential services for vulnerable people with both intellectual and physical disabilities in Kilkenny.

The primary function of this role is:

  • To access compliance according to HIQA regulations and National Standards within HIQA regulated residential services.
  • To offer guidance on reviewing each regulation and applicable standard.
  • To guide quality improvement and ongoing development of person centred services.
  • To ensure the service provides a rights-based approach.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant third level qualification in Social Care
  • High proficiency in the use of MS Office suite
  • Minimum three years’ experience working in the disability sector
  • Experience in auditing and compliance within a healthcare setting
  • Experience in a quality and compliance role desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within and implementing change programmes
  • Working collaboratively with multiple areas and teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health Act, 2007 Regulations and any standards or government publications on the provision of services for day and residential services in the Disability sector
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and procedures
  • Hold a core belief and passion for the sustainable delivery of high quality people we support focused services
  • Fosters positive and effective working relationships
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, organise and prioritise
  • Ability to source and interpret both theoretical and technical information
  • Excellent ability to analyse and interpret research data
  • Ability to study statistics and information and determine their meaning
  • Strong research skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Excellent communications skills, including strong report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage change
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
