Very well established (in operation for over 100 years!) food production company based in the Kilkenny/Carlow area are currently recruiting for an Industrial/Maintenance Electrician.
Working in a plant that has a combination of state-of-the-art automated equipment as well as older equipment that has also been automated using relays etc you will be working in a large maintenance team managed by a strong maintenance manager who will give you all the support you need while bedding in.
With a large work force and an ever-growing order book the future is looking bright for my client who are constantly upgrading and developing their systems and equipment.

YOUR NEXT MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN JOB
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor day to day some of your key duties will include:
- Provide mechanical maintenance electrical support to the operation of the manufacturing process and utility systems
- Carry out scheduled service on plant equipment
- Carry out electrical service and electrical installation and projects
- Responsible for the electrical installation of plant equipment and machinery on site and carrying out diagnostics and repair of malfunctioning equipment following schematic drawings and procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained to produce at optimum efficiency
- Carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner reducing impact on production levels
- Carry out changeover activities at the performance level expected to ensure smooth transition between different product types
- Engage with the maintenance team and production management to identify performance /OEE issues and resolve according to priority list set by the Maintenance Manager and Production Management
WHAT MY COMPANY CAN OFFER YOU
This Industrial Electrician job is a shift role operating on a 2 shift cycle i.e
2 weeks of mornings ( 6am-2.30pm) followed by 2 weeks of evenings(1pm-9.30pm)
The salary is €55k plus 15% shift allowance when on evenings plus 5% pension and life assurance (4 times annual salary) There will be loads of opportunities to upskill, train and develop in an environment where innovation and forward thinking are at the forefront of the maintenance dept's strategy.
As certain members of the team are approaching retirement in the next few years there will also be lots of opportunities to progress within the organisation.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
You will be a qualified electrician from an industrial/production/manufacturing or installation background and the ability to read schematics and follow drawings is key for this electrical maintenance job.
