My client, a leading medical device manufacturer, based in North Dublin is in need of an Inventory Control Manager to oversee their Inventory Control Team

The requirements for the desired Inventory Control Manager include but are not limited to:
- Lead the inventory control team to ensure all activities, such as cycle counting, material storage, and control audits are on track.
- Manage an inventory control program across the site, overseeing over 7,000 SKUs, while ensuring full stakeholder support and compliance for accuracy.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve inventory inaccuracies and collaborate with stakeholders to eliminate issues.
- Drive process improvements to achieve best-in-class performance in both efficiency and compliance.
- Provide analytical insights to support the Logistics Manager in optimizing logistics (e.g., material handling efficiency, storage utilization, labelling, and freight optimization).
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain.
- Work closely with IT to leverage current systems (particularly SAP) and implement system improvements.
The qualifications for the desired Inventory Control Manager include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline (QQI Level 8 equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in logistics or planning, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical ability to utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, to drive process improvements, track activity, and support decision-making.
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven strategies.
- Leadership experience, either through direct team management or project oversight.
- Broad understanding of supply chain management, with additional experience in production operations, procurement, or planning as a plus.
- Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills, both with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- High-level planning and analytical skills with the ability to distill data into actionable insights.
- LEAN-focused mindset, committed to driving continuous improvement.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, with a keen interest in utilizing these tools for ongoing improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong business writing and presentation capabilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing workloads independently.
