Job Opportunity: General Operative / Dispatch Operator
Location: South of Limerick City
Salary: Starting at €14 per hour, increasing to €16 per hour after 6 months
Shifts: Rotational shifts, including 8-4, 4-12, 12-8, 6-4, 4-2 (10-hour shifts)
Transport: Own transport required (commutable from surrounding areas within a 45-minute drive, including Limerick City, Annacotty, Dooradoyle, Castletroy, Patrickswell, Caherconlish, Kilmallock, Adare, Croom, Bruff, and Hospital)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and distribution company seeking skilled General Operatives / Dispatch Operators to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking for long-term career development.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ensuring all products meet compliance standards and maintaining an audit-ready work environment.

  • Safe operation of mechanical equipment, including palletisers, wrappers, forklifts, and power pallet trucks.

  • Preparing and loading pallets for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock management.

  • Conducting pre-loading hygiene checks and maintaining cleanliness in the dispatch area.

  • Completing necessary operational records to support food safety and traceability systems.

  • Identifying and reporting any damages, accidents, or quality deficiencies.

  • Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Providing support to colleagues and covering absences when required.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic numerical, reading, analytical, and computer skills.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.

  • Full Driver’s Licence and own transport.

Desirable:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift & PPT Licence.

  • Experience with stock management processes.

  • Previous experience in a food production environment.

  • Shunter experience.
