Fresh Food Supermarket Manager - Mayo
The main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store`s fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offerings at all times.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- 2 years' experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable
- 1 year experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Good delegation skills
- An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
- Passion for fresh food.
Main duties:
- Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately
- Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with the Store Manager
- Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget
- Foster good working relationships among the team
- Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
- Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement
- Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistently with store policy
- Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments
- Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and follow relevant store planograms and guidelines.
