The Role
My client, a well-established facilities management company is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.
As the Bid Writer you will be responsible for creating & completing compelling tender responses, PQQs and PowerPoint presentations to secure new contracts whilst collaborating with internal teams.
Tasks & Duties
- Develop and Deliver Winning Bids: Craft persuasive, compliant bid documents that align with client requirements while showcasing the company’s unique strengths.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the bidding team, subject matter experts, and internal departments to gather key insights and ensure cohesive, accurate submissions.
- Content Development: Write, proofread, and edit bid responses, PQQs, and presentations to maintain clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Bid Library Management: Build and maintain a repository of standard responses, templates, and case studies to enhance efficiency and consistency in future bids.
- Post-Submission Review: Analyse client feedback to refine future bids and improve success rates.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
- 2–3 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive content, translating complex technical details into engaging narratives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating compelling content.
- Experience with CRM systems and bid management tools is advantageous.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement in both content and processes.
- Strong research and analytical abilities, enabling a tailored approach to client needs and effective problem-solving.
- Team-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to collaborate well and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while remaining adaptable in fast-paced environments.
